Enrichment
Enrichment at Carshalton Boys Sports College provides students with fun, engaging activities which build confidence, develop communication skills and enable them to discover new passions beyond the classroom. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that the after-school enrichment programme remains entirely free and accessible to every KS3 student.
Enrichment is a compulsory, timetabled part of the KS3 week, giving every pupil weekly access to purposeful activities rather than an optional extra. Students can participate in more than one enrichment club where numbers permit.
Each term a wide range of activities are on offer including:
- Sports: Football, Rugby, Dodgeball, Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Fitness, JUDO, Jiu Jitsu, Handball, Table Tennis
- Creative Pursuits: Art, Guitar, Singing, Drama, Media, Photography, Construction, 3D Design
- Intellectual clubs: STEM, Coding. Creative Writing, Debating, Dungeons and Dragons, Board Games, Chess
- Active Citizens: School Leadership, Volunteering, Charity Work, Environmental Work
Pupil voice contributes to the development of new enrichment opportunities and Pupil Premium students have first choice during the enrichment selection process.
Enrichment runs from 3 - 4pm Monday to Friday. We ask parents/carers to contact the school if their son is unable to attend an individual session.
If a student has a detention they must attend this before going to their enrichment club.
Sports activities require a PE kit and a water bottle.
