If you join our Sixth Form without a Grade 4 in GCSE English Language (or English Literature) and Maths, don't worry — you're not alone, and we'll help you get there.
It's a statutory requirement for all Post-16 students to hold, or be working towards, a Grade 4 in English Language or Literature, and in Maths. To support this, we run dedicated resit classes in both subjects, built into your Sixth Form timetable.
These sessions are compulsory, and the vast majority of our students go on to improve their grade over the course of the year. In your very first lesson, your teacher will walk you through the exam structure and assessment format, and confirm whether you'll be entered for the November or Summer exam series — so you know exactly what you're working towards from day one.
