Welcome to Carshalton Boys Sports College 6th Form

We are delighted that you are interested in our outstanding 6th Form. We achieve excellent results, and you benefit from our specialist expertise. In 2026, our A-Level students achieved a 100% pass rate, with over 92% of students achieving A*– C. Every student who applied progressed to aspirational destinations — whether that was university, a higher or degree apprenticeship, or employment with training.

We will encourage and support you to achieve your best, and to progress onto the pathway that is right for you, whether that’s your first-choice university, a competitive apprenticeship, or the world of work.

All the information you need about the courses planned for September 2027 and beyond is contained on this website and in our prospectus. We welcome not only students from Carshalton Boys’ Year 11, but also both young men and women joining us from other schools. Our friendly, inclusive atmosphere makes us a welcoming destination for anyone joining us for the first time.

A small, caring community

Our 6th Form is a small, close-knit community. With numbers normally around 300, I have the great privilege of knowing our students individually. Every student is supported by a dedicated tutor and a team of specialist subject teachers, alongside our Raising Standards Leads, who work closely with students and families to make sure each young person gets the individual support, challenge and encouragement they need to achieve their best.

Our well-equipped 6th Form areas offer a comfortable working environment with modern facilities to support your independent study and academic progress.

Preparing you for what comes next

Independent careers guidance is built into 6th Form life from the moment you join us. Through our UCAS, Post 18 Aspire, Aim Higher programme, work experience opportunities, employer encounters, and our enrichment programme, every student is supported to make informed choices about their future — whether that’s university, an apprenticeship, or employment. Our Academic Enrichment Programme also gives our ambitiousg students structured weekly sessions on study skills, academic stretch and super curricular opportunities, so every student is stretched to reach their potential.

Your wellbeing matters to us too. Every student has a named tutor and access to pastoral support, and safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.

Join us

We are confident that if you join us, you will not only make new friends, enjoy your time and learn new things, but you will achieve great results. Be inspired by reading the profiles of our students, or view a recent list of our students’ destinations.

Our Open Evening is a perfect opportunity to see what we can offer you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.
