Basketball At The O2

CBSC visit the O2 to watch some basketball

The CBSC Basketball teams were out in force on Sunday 14th May 2017 when 25 students across years 7 to10 visited the O2 arena in Greenwich to watch the British Basketball League Play-off Finals.

The boys spent the day watching four different basketball matches including the women`s final, men`s final, wheelchair celebrity match and a further celebrity match in aid of raising money for the BBL.

The students were also treated to watching Tinchy Stryder during half time of the men`s final and finished off the day meeting the Leicester Ryder’s, who won the men’s final.

The day gave students an opportunity to watch elite basketball players, experience the O2 arena, develop their basketball knowledge as well as develop new friendships throughout the year groups. The boys expressed how much they thoroughly enjoyed the trip and can’t wait to attend another one next year!

Jason Quansah, year 8 - “I’ve had the best day ever”.

A big thanks goes to Miss Bishop and Mr Szreider for supporting this trip; it wouldn’t have gone ahead otherwise.
