Children's Mental Health Week 2026

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

At Carshalton Boys, we believe that a student’s wellbeing is just as important as their academic or athletic success. This week, we joined schools across the country to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week, focusing on the powerful theme of "Belonging," as championed by the charity Place2Be.
Throughout the week, our students have been exploring what it means to feel connected, accepted, and supported within our school community and beyond.
What’s Been Happening?

  • Whole-School Assemblies: We launched the week with dedicated assemblies exploring how a sense of belonging can protect our mental health and boost resilience. Video HERE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPhAn0qACck
  • Tutor Time Discussions: Students engaged in open, honest conversations about how they can make others feel welcome and the importance of finding "their tribe" in sports, hobbies, or friendships.

Resources for Families
Supporting a young person’s mental health is a journey we take together. To help continue these conversations at home, we have curated a selection of resources that we’ve used with students this week. We hope you find these tools beneficial:
