Sixth Form
Welcome back to a new school year. I was delighted to have so many year 12 students join us and I have been impressed with their positive attitude and commitment. Following my visiting some lessons I was encouraged to see all Year 12 working hard on their studies.
Year 11 Update
Year 11 have had a good start to their final year of compulsory education. All students have had their Target Minimum Grades for some4 time now for each subject currently being studied. Students need to understand that these are the minimum grades that they can achieve with a little hard work.
Year 10 Update
The year group have hit the ground running and entered the final two years of their schooling with an industrious approach. Our boys have realised that the content of every lesson is vital and that an excellent attitude towards learning is essential if they are to fulfil their potential.
Year 9 Update
It has been lovely to welcome back the boys into Year 9 after the summer break. I have been impressed by the new found maturity of many of the boys and their renewed focus and energy. At the end of Year 8 I was pleased to recognise some exceptional performances.
Year 8 Update
As half term approaches, I think that year 8 can look back on the past seven weeks with a collective satisfaction about what they have achieved. I have visited most if not all departments to look at the work the boys are doing and am seeing a generally high standard of maturity and effort in lessons. Well done boys!
Year 7 Update

What a great start. Following on from an excellent Taster Day, the lads have begun life at CBSC in the best possible way. Many already have over 50 credits, commendations and are joining loads of clubs.
